Listening to: Boys Night Out - Hold on Tightly, Let go Lightly
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was in Quebec city for a school trip from May1st-May4th.. it was pretty fun! The city was beautiful, especially since we were staying in a hotel that was inside of the old city walls. I took a few pictures with a one-use camera.. if they don't turn out terrible, I'll submit a few.
Story time! This was the most exciting part of the trip... we got stuck in an elevator! 15 of the 25 people on the trip (me being one of them!) were stuck in a 10-person elevator for about 15 minutes. It was complete hysteria! Girls in the corner crying because they thought we were going to die, people yelling and screaming and some were claustrophobic! Honestly, there were only like 4 of us that were calm.. Someone kept pressing the emergency button which could be heard throughout the WHOLE hotel! We were all really close, and it was beginning to get really hot..I could barely breath! One of the guys were like " I hope you all had a big breakfast because that was probably our last meal. " and " We should sit down.. because if the cable breaks, we won't hit our head against the ceiling of the elevator.. the worst that could happen is that we'll break our spine..and neck.. and most likely become paralysed for life! " Suddenly the lights flickered and it was almost as bad as when we first noticed we got stuck. Eventually we got out on the basement floor and I don't think I've ever ran so fast up 4 flights of stairs in my life. We got fined $350.. but our tour guide negotiated it down to only $50, so we only had to pay $3.33 each..and in all this chaos I couldn't help but laugh.
I'm sorry that I haven't been checking deviations/journals alot lately.. I have to catch up in school!
Boys Night Out -- Hold on Tightly, Let go Lightly
When you're left with only a bullet
I'll bring the trigger and a promise to pull it
I'll be the end of everyone who's ever entered your life
And taken pieces out of it.
I'll give you enough time to regain your composure
To reconstruct a heart that's torn apart from over-exposure
I know forever isn't long enough to forget the faces and places
...that played out your tragedy.
Our memory defeats us all
I've touched the stagnant water and muddy walls
Of the trench where you've been sleeping
And there's nothing there worth keeping
There's nothing there worth keeping
Or believe
So on the eve of the attack
we'll Finger traced the targets on their backs
And open fire
Just hold on until they're gone.
So with this kiss I promise to
Never forget what you did for me
You did for me...
I felt the sun on my face for the first time, and tasted blood on my tongue for the last.
Take care everyone!
